Singapore ’s Ministry of Manpower announced that starting from 11:59 pm on Friday (March 20), all work permit holders, no matter which country they plan to enter Singapore, must obtain prior approval from the Ministry of Manpower before they can set off!

Affected include current work permit holders, and those who have been approved in principle (In-Principle Approval).

The Ministry of Manpower said that employers must apply for permits for these employees on the Internet, and must declare to the authorities that suitable accommodation has been arranged for employees to isolate at home. Upon obtaining permission and arriving in Singapore, employees must present a letter from the Ministry of Manpower.

In addition, eligible persons can get an allowance of 100 yuan per day for each affected employee. But if these employees or self-employed persons can work from home during home notice, they cannot apply for allowances!
