Singapore has strengthened immigration controls and all long-term pass holders must obtain approval from the authorities before entering our country. This new measure will take effect at 23:59 (March 29). The affected people include holders of long-term visit permits and student IDs, as well as foreigners who have been approved in principle but have not yet arrived.
All long-term visit permit holders and those who have obtained a long-term pass in principle must obtain approval from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority before planning to enter or return to Singapore.
All existing student ID holders and students who have obtained student ID approval in principle need to apply to the Ministry of Education.
This new measure aims to prevent more Covid-19 cases of coronary pneumonia locally.
