Over the past four days, Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower has issued 34 shutdowns and 36 corrections to workplaces where safety distance measures have not been implemented.

Authorities audited more than 100 companies and issued shutdowns and corrections to companies that did not implement measures, which must be improved immediately.

The Ministry of Manpower also issued a notice stating that employers must ensure employees who can work from home, especially those who are older, pregnant or have a potential illness.

For employees who are unable to work from home, employers must take precautionary measures, including reducing physical contact, ensuring that employees maintain a distance of at least 1 meter, staggering or canceling occasional activities staggering work hours, implementing a responsibility system for group work, and more.
