The Ministry of Manpower also announced that it will provide a subsidy of 100 per employee per day for companies that allow employees to take paid absences. Self-employed persons returning to SG during this period can also receive a subsidy of 100 if they absent from absentia.
This subsidy is limited to local citizens and permanent residents, as well as those holding work permits. Employers are also exempt from foreign labor tax during this period.
However, employers or self-employed persons will not be able to claim subsidies if they can work remotely.
